Forest has a very calm personality and a quick learner. He has athletic build and comes from parents that have both been proven on the trail. 
I used Dexter as a stud because of his exceptional trail proven packing abilities and super calm demeanor. Unfortunately I had to downsize and sold Dexter before registering him so Forest is not able to be registered, but comes from proven packers on both sides. His dam, Mirasol, is 49” and has produced some of my best packers. 
His sire is 47” and was always my top pick for saddling my kids on, as he was the calmest and easy going guy ever. Forest seems to take after his sire with this easy going personality and willingness to try just about anything I ask of him.
Forest is halter trained, lead trained, and has had a fair number of hikes around the property with a training saddle on.
